Here at Duckie Central we like to think a little bit about the environment and because of that – and of course the slight possibility that your 25 year old pre-nurtured bucket might not completely conform to the exacting environmentally friendly standards the world expects in 2011 / 2012 – we have devised a way to help absolve you from melting the polar ice-caps. Why else would Boris Johnson cycle around London, or endangered Pandas wear nicotine patches and subscribe to CND?

In other words your contribution to the decline of civilization can be offset by making a green donation back to plant trees – or grass as some of the great green thinkers feel might be of more use. You can also help the ducks as well….

We at Central have long supported planting trees through the Woodland Trust and those blokes that plant trees in the middle of the central reservations; although there are several great places to plant including the good old UK. So if you would like to do this we have calculated an extra contribution on top of your registration fee.

It is of course completely voluntary and we have offered you three options as to where this contribution will go to (although you can chose to offset your carbon footprint yourself by calculating your mileage and then using the sliding scale as provided by the Carbon Trust):

* WWF (not the wrestlers but the Pandas)
* Woodland Trust
* Friends of the Earth

Your contribution will make a change – we will provide you with a certificate to prove your green prowess. Show it to your friends when they question your environmental credentials (it is on card so you could probably inflict a nasty papercut if desired).
